Debt Problems
If you have unpaid debt from Canada, is that a problem for studying in the US?
I have unpaid debt from a Canadian University (which is not my fault, really). I now want to study in the US. Will my debt problem cause me further problems in the US? Normally one country's issues are not dealt by another, but US and Canada are somewhat close in those respects so I can't say.

- The US and Canada use different credit reporting systems. As far as credit in the US goes, noone will ever know it.
- The Canadian University may refuse to release your transcripts to the new school if the debt is not paid, but other than that there should be no problem!
